PERMACULTURE

What is Permaculture?

Read this blog in French Portuguese Russian Romanian German

Permaculture is simply the art of living in harmony and collaboration with nature. It is the answer to a sustainable future.

Permaculture was created and developed in Australia in the 70s. Bill Mollison and David Holmgren developed a way to design sustainable systems in every inhabited region of Earth.

In comparison to conventional agriculture which erodes soils, relies heavily on external fertilizers, uses biocides or pesticides and contributes majorly to global warming, permaculture imitates natural ecosystems, reducing the needs for other resources and avoids synthetic fertilizers and biocides. These makes it definitely one of the best answers for a sustainable future.

And it’s not just agriculture

Apart from agriculture, permaculture can be also used to design sustainable buildings. We can build houses and create communities, drastically reducing the environmental impact at the same time. The best part is that it can be used by anyone, anywhere in the world.

It’s time to think about the way we use our resources – food, energy, shelter and other material and non-material needs. By working with nature rather than battling against it, we can truly learn to be more productive for less effort. It will be simple to reap benefits for ourselves and our environment, for now, and for generations to come.

“Permaculture”, originally “Permanent Agriculture” has developed into a whole design philosophy of life for millions of people around the world today. They use it to grow food, repair damage land and create a sustainable future.

How to do it

Constantin Furtuna is one of the best examples of what this design system can achieve. He developed a real passion for it and owns a thriving organic garden in the rural part of Moldova. Traveling for gardening - Combining gardening, cooking, and travel

I'm embarking on a journey that blends my passions for gardening, cooking, and travel. As I travel across Europe, I bring my experience in creating and maintaining vegetable and fruit gardens, food forests, and landscaping projects that are guided by sustainable permaculture principles. I love to grow organic food in people's gardens and share my joy of cooking for families I meet along the way. My travels take me from Moldova, Italy, Austria, France, to Spain and Portugal, where I immerse myself in the diverse garden styles and permaculture practices and share my experiences to inspire sustainable living and make a positive impact on the environment. My name is Constantin, and I'm a passionate gardener, cook, and traveler. For the past decade, I've dedicated myself to creating the EcoCostel garden in Moldova, which is known internationally for its sustainable gardening practices and permaculture principles. The garden is a popular destination for those seeking to learn
